A little bag

I saw a picture on allpeoplequilt.com and thought I'd have a go, the bit between the pocket and top is a bit too big, I forgot to measure and cut that bit, but I'm quite pleased as I've never made anything with praire points before, so that's another thing I can now do... yay :)

WIP - Wedding gift

This is my work in progress at the moment and so far I am loving it and thinking - can I really give this away :o)

I'm really taken with these string quilts, so far this will be my third and they're all so different, all the colours are great. This is done with fabric from the Katie Spain Cuzco range - which I love!!!

Embroidered picture

I'm at my Mum and Dad's and visiting some quilts lol but I came across this embroidered picture I did for my Mum, I remember it taking ages and I wish I had of gotten it professionally framed.

This is both the front and back - I was taught you should make the back as tidy as the front.

Cushion covers

Some cushion covers I've done in the past, that I wanted to get on here for storage purposes.

The first is pieced and the second is applique and was for my neighbours sons birthday - he loves fast cars.

Cushion covers - FINISHED!

I have finally finished the cushion covers for my sister and I'm really happy with them. For a while I was not feeling all that great about them, but I ended up enjoying doing them. I think it was one of them that I didn't really enjoy doing and it marred the rest for a while.

Anyway.... onto the next project.

Finishes

I haven't done very much sewing this week as all, but the weather has been nice and it seems a shame to stay in and sew.

I have finished another of my sisters cushion covers, the last but one and now I'm enjoying it, I have done different quilting on all of them, a few of the designs I haven't done before, so it's been good to do new things.

I really like the swirly pattern and will definately use it again on a large scale.

The little chick/egg has a pocket on the front, but alas no legs or wings, so I think it probably is an egg, but I didn't have any felt.

Something Old, Something New

I am linking up with Karen over at Quilty Creations's Something Old, Something New.

This was made from an old pair of jeans and some cat panels, it's a huge bag and has been to quite a few places with me as well.

It's lined in a pale orange cotton and the draw string is made up of braided string and on the ends I've put a load of beads.

Work in progress

This will be cushion cover number five, I was playing around with some orange and brown leaves for another WIP and liked them, so have decided to use the idea for one of the cushion covers.
