Finishes

I haven't done very much sewing this week as all, but the weather has been nice and it seems a shame to stay in and sew.

I have finished another of my sisters cushion covers, the last but one and now I'm enjoying it, I have done different quilting on all of them, a few of the designs I haven't done before, so it's been good to do new things.

I really like the swirly pattern and will definately use it again on a large scale.

The little chick/egg has a pocket on the front, but alas no legs or wings, so I think it probably is an egg, but I didn't have any felt.

Work in progress

This will be cushion cover number five, I was playing around with some orange and brown leaves for another WIP and liked them, so have decided to use the idea for one of the cushion covers.

who I never would have come across had it not been for the Sew Mama Sew giveaway. I've come across some great blogs that I intend to follow and some new things I'd like to try all down to the giveaway.

To make the 'closing' bit, I used a button and a length of ribbon to wrap around the button. Also a couple of bits of ribbon holding the pouches together. It's a great little pattern and I've already been asked to make one for a friend.

 

I have to say - that's a bit strange - seeing your own fingers in a picture on a website after making sure they look their best before a picture :o) -just kidding about the making sure they look nice... not the strange part though :o)

Cushion cover

This was made after I found a quilting pattern in a magazine. I thought I was being really clever in that all the teardrop shapes are from the holes they are near, but with a busy pattern like that it didn't show up.... still, I like it!
I used bondaweb to put the pattern on the cream and then appliqued it on.
